I’m delighted to announce that I will be at the South Dakota Festival of Books this October in Deadwood! Please stop by my booth at the vendor fair to find out more about my editing and content creation services. (Yes, that’s my ad up there in the corner of the photo. South Dakota Magazine did a fabulous job designing it.) I’d love to meet you there! This event is hosted by the South Dakota Humanities Council. I encourage you to visit their website to learn more about the book festival. The lineup of speakers and workshops is truly impressive.
I am passionate about the amazing work of South Dakota authors, whether they be novelists, essayists, poets, or others. Like many of us, I have great pride of place. My identity as a South Dakotan is deeply important to me. Serving the writers who share this amazing land with me is also something I pride myself on. Our state population may be small, but our talent is mighty.
At my booth, you’ll be able to find handy-dandy info on writing and editing, super fun photo props, a drawing for a writer-focused gift basket, and more. I’ll also be sharing information on the books of some of my editing clients. Plans are also in the works for writer-focused swag bags. I’m at work on fun postcards to share with you. (I’m also an artist and photographer.)
I’ll have samples of my freelance writing work available if you are in need of content creators. Among many other topics, I provide blog content for mental health professionals and publish print articles on arts and crafts.
Even if you can’t make the South Dakota Festival of Books, truly do take the time to visit their website. You’ll be inspired by the topics offered. You may find new authors you haven’t heard of yet and will learn of new titles available from favorite authors.
If you attend, please come and find me in the vendor hall!
